Welcome Mats Sundin

This is a good day to be a Canucks fan. It looks like the Canucks could "possibly" make some noise come playoff time. If they can get healthy and Roberto at 100% I think their chances are good. Finally it seems something goes right for this organization, though I am still not completely sold. Mats Sundin comes in mid season at 38 years old. This has never been a good thing for other players who have dome the same thing. I guess time will tell. It's still a good day to be a Canucks fan.

Back Again...Again

Well I am back. I will be getting the internet at home again so I will be blogging about life and stuff once again. Lots has gone on since I last posted almost a year ago. I'm sure some of that will come out as I share about life and what it means to be alive in this crazy world. Peace.

T-Shirt Design

Howdy. This is my first T-shirt that is going to be printed. It is for the staff at the Bridge. It represents what our goal is at the Bridge, which is to set captives free, by the blood of Christ. I have to give a shout out to my friend / Co-worker Daryl for his input and help with the design. I feel really good about this design. For me it is an act of worship to be able to create something that hopefully glorifies God.

Back Again

Hey all. I'm back from the ashes once again. Lots going on in my world. I've read lots of books recently and have been quite intrigued by the bible once again. That of course is a good thing. Anyway just wanted to post to say that I am back. although I'm sure no one checks this anymore.

Grandma Pants

Here is Dani with what looks like my Grandma's pants that also double as a bra. I am amazed at how quickly she is growing. I heard it said last week that instead of marveling at God's creation such as sunsets, mountains, rivers etc, we should be looking at his greatest creation of all, us, humans. Not that we shouldn't marvel at sunsets and those things, but people are God's greatest and most satisfying of his creation. This is something that I need to work on because I find myself being a reluctant member of the human race. I find myself wanting to retreat and get away from people. I seem to be having more trouble in big groups. Anyway Lord help me love people and hate sin.

A Great Day

Well I went golfing with my mother in-law the other day which was really cool. We had a good time, though there were many bad shots, and a few good ones too. After golf we went to Fort Carlton for a picnic. This was really cool since my old bible school professor was our tour guide. Allan Friesen is one of the smartest men I have ever met, and extremely humble. His were my favorite classes to take at Bethany. He was once again a fountain of knowledge. What made this day great was family and the beauty that God has created. It was really beautiful at Fort Carlton. I highly recommend going there if you want to get away for a day or so. Thanks God for being so creative.

Tony Campolo and the Hour

Tonight Barb and I watched the Hour. We watch this show quite a bit now. We really like this show which is hosted by George Stromboulopolus from the CBC. This show is all over the map spiritually, which I think is cool. They feature all sides of the story so to speak. Anyway, tonight they had Tony Campolo on. He was talking about how politics and religion have become glued together and how people in the states are being judgmental if one is a Christian and not a republican. He says that Christians are completely missing the point of the bible when they act in this manner. With over 2000 verses in the bible speaking about the poor, Campolo says that we are tragically missing the point of the bible and of Christ. What was really cool was how Campolo painted a picture of Jesus that was as accurate as any I've ever heard. He said that people will be judged not on their theology but on what they did for the poor. Jesus said, "I assure you, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me." Very good interview, funny as well!
